EAGLES

"Spread your wings"

JANUARY'S FULL MOON

EAGLE

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious."Mysterious alright. Wonder where you go? Where have you been! No matter, you're here right now.

LUNCH TIME

"In order to be successful you must first project the image of success."

It was definalty lunch time in the woods that day. Doe eating grass, Squirels eating the nuts they have been storing for the cold winters day.

RED TAILED HAWK

"Begin, be bold and venture to be wise."
Red tailed hawks will always be my favorite big bird. This one is all fluffed out trying to keep warm on a snowy winters day.

JUVENILE EAGLE

“Do it for peace of mind.”The Juvenile eagles seem to be hanging out here a lot. The first day I saw the one with the white head, now nothing but babies. No matter, they are both cool to spy on.

JUVENILE EAGLE

"Freedom lies in being bold'.

Here is a baby eagle hanging out along the river, waiting for the snow to let up, so he can do some fishing. This is such an awesome raptor to see. We only have them here for a few months in the winter. I really wish they could stay all year long.

SQUIRREL

"Be curious, not judgmental."

A black walnut makes a good mid morning snack, for this little red squirrel.

POSSUM

"If you want to make your dreams come true, the first thing you have to do is wake up."

This was quite a surprise to see this little possum wandering around the field in the middle of the of the day. I think he has the days and nights confused.

MALLARD DUCK AND FRIEND

"Happy as a duck in water."

Here's a little closer shot of the hooded merganser duck, just hanging out with his mallard duck friends.. until they had to fly away.

DEER AND HER DOE

"Mother's love grows by giving."

Driving through the forest to see a mommy deer stop to stare at me. The sun can set now, on this picture perfect day.

COYOTE

“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”The snow is falling, while the coyote searches for his food. The next day when I saw him, you could really see his true colors. The snow makes a beautiful back drop for his fluffy brown fur.

WHITE HAWK

"Take my breath away"
This bird will always be my favorite. I can usually spot him a mile away. I love when he is right up close to the road, so I can get a better look.

SWANS AND THE MALLARD DUCKS

"Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift."It's so crazy that these swans come alive in the winter months. Makes for a beautiful sight on a cold winters day.

AMERICAN EAGLE

"Eagles don't flock, you have to find them one at a time." Well first one this year. And I'm pretty sure it won't be the last. Spotted him early in the morning, right when the sun was coming up. Such an awesome bird.
