MOTHS

"Attraction is beyond our will or ideas sometimes."

WILD FLOWERS

“May all your weeds be wildflowers”
Just hanging out in my favorite place, taking in the wild flowers.

BULLFROG

“Let us forgive each other-only then will we live in peace”
Just hanging out with our new found friend.

BULLFROG

“If you can't be a frog. Marry a prince”

Now, that's a big frog. I just love it when the neighbor hood boys bring me presents. Even if it's kinda slimy

ROBIN'S NEST

“The present was an egg laid by the past that had the future inside its shell.”

My daughter spotted this one. I never knew how exciting bird watching could be. Especially when it comes to us, in our tree. Can't wait to see their little beaks sticking out.

COYOTE/BUCK

“Those who go along, get along.”
I was quite surprised to see this coyote, just wondering around the heard of deer that night. Wasn't going to stick around to long, in case this was dinner time.

STORM AT SUNSET

“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you'll never enjoy the sunshine.” The sun sure made this an awesome shot. I look at it like this, there should be a bright side to every storm.

JULY SUNRISE

“We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if we have waited in the darkness”Some of my best days have started before the sunrise. Everyone should wake up early once in a while and take one in.

GOLDFINCH

"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."Little wild canary is what I like to call him. These birds take good pictures, because they like to land on all sorts of wild flowers.

RED-HEADED WOOD PECKER

"Good things come to all who wait."

He's been a mystery to me as he flies by every once in awhile. All I see is a black and white bird. Finally, I figured it out when he landed in sight. Mystery solved, that's a Red-Headed Wood Pecker.

BUTTERFLIES

“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think its forever.”

One of the best parts of summer is watching the butterfly come to life.

FAWN

“Life is either a great adventure or nothing.”

This young deer is so cute. So glad, I didn't spook him during his dinner.

LILY PADS AND CATTAILS

“Keep your head above water”

Where there are cattails, there is water. Where there is water, there are lily pads. Where there are lily pads, there are frogs.

BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON

“It's beauty that captures your attention;

You can really see his black crown good in these photos. Glad I was able to see this night heron again, he seems so relaxed this time.

GREEN HERON

“The key to success is often the ability to adapt”

I have only seen these birds resting their necks on their shoulders. I had no idea they could also look like this when they were feeding.

WILD FLOWERS

"Love is the answer, and you know that for sure."

In a forest field full of yellow flowers the pretty pink ones really stand out.

WILD FLOWERS

"Love is the flower you've got to let grow."
One of my goals this summer is to capture as many wildflowers I can. That way in the dead of winter I can reflect back and next summer won't seem so far away.

BABY TURKEYS

"A baby is born with a need to be loved - and never outgrows it." I saw theses little poults in the bean field the other day..Just thought they were turkeys. Now that I see them with their parents, I know now they are babies. And they are called poults. I call them cute baby turkeys.

WHITE TAILED FAWN

“The trick is growing up without growing old.”

Been waiting to catch a shot of one of these little guys before they are all grown up. The fawns are so cute, with all their spots.

BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON

"Day by day, nothing seems to change. But pretty soon, every thing's different.”
Not really sure what kind of bird this is. I'm guessing red eyed something..I was just informed that he is a Black-Crowned Night-Heron.
